The Indian School-Second Shift held Recognition Day 2023-24 on 10 May,24 underscoring the spirit of excellence, perseverance and sense of community that defines the institution. This event provided an opportunity for recognising the achievements of our students, and reaffirming School’s commitment to nurturing their talents and fostering a supportive and inspiring learning environment.
The occasion was marked by the acknowledgement and applause of the remarkable talent, hard work, and dedication exhibited by our students through the academic year 2023-24.
The event commenced with an inspiring address by Headmistress, Ms Sheeja Menon, emphasising the importance of recognising and celebrating excellence in academics, sports, arts and other co-curricular activities.The programme unfolded through a series of events, beginning with the announcement of the awardees from Pre school, Pre primary and classes I and II. The eager anticipation on the faces of the young achievers was unmissable!
Following this, students showcased a dance invocation to the Ganesh Vandana Subsequently, a second round of awards was presented to students from the primary classes- III, IV and V.
As the saying goes, "Music gives soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, and charm and gaiety to life and everything”, the School choir delivered a symphony of music, uplifting the students and igniting their spirits. Last but not the least, the achievers of classes VI, VII, VIII and IX elicited a vigourous applause that resonated throughout the auditorium for several moments! The awards were handed over to the students by our PTA representatives.
Finally, everyone stood to attention as the choir sang the School song. It was a proud occasion for all the achievers, their parents and their teachers. The evening ended with glittering eyes and jovial faces looking forward towards achieving excellence in all the endeavours of life.
