Pre school Parent Orientation

“A parent is a teacher at home, a teacher is a parent in school and the child is the centre of our universe.”

Connecting home and school makes us a great community for learners. The Indian School – Second Shift believes in providing a creative, affable and innovative learning environment to enable our blooming buds to develop to their optimum potential. To achieve this goal an Orientation Programme was organised for the parents of Pre School on 6 August 2022 in the School auditorium. The aim was to familiarise the parents as ‘ partners in progress’, with the curriculum, rules and regulations of our School, teaching methodologies and co scholastic activities.

The parents enthusiastically assembled in the school auditorium where they were handed diyas and asked to place them on a specially mounted frame. They lit the diyas to a special song, a tradition at our School and hundreds of small soft flames made a truly auspicious ambience.

Principal, Ms Tania Joshi welcomed the parents and shared School’s vision. Headmistress, Ms Sheeja Menon apprised the parents about the school and teaching methodologies. She addressed the gathering and extended her felicitations to all students, parents and teachers. She laid stress on the effective communication between teachers and parents.

The parents were given a glimpse of co scholastic activities like music, dance, art organised to nurture the talent of our youngest children by Ms Priyanka Sharma. As a part of our ongoing School theme this year, ‘Reclaiming the planet’, the celebration of Environment Day, a mega plastic waste collection drive and other educational activities provide memorable experiences to the students by engaging them with real situations.

Headmistress Ms Sheeja Menon concluded the programme by thanking the parents. It is a continuous endeavour to walk hand in hand with our teachers and the parents, to achieve maximum learning outcomes.
