Pre school interacts with an Argentinian educator for Christmas
“Christmas waves a magic wand over this world, and behold, everything is softer and more beautiful.”
On 17 December 2021, the students of Pre-School had the opportunity of connecting with educator, Ms Maria Jose Giavedoni in Argentina, to celebrate the festival of Christmas.
Christmas is a festival of joy, sharing and giving. Christmas is also celebrated to rejoice in the birth of Christmas.
The interaction started with a welcome message for the parents and students, followed by a prayer seeking the Lord’s blessings for peace and serenity. Ms Giavedoni addressed the students and motivated them with her words of wisdom. She wished that this Christmas would fill each mind and heart with new hope, positivity, joy and bliss. Also, that the new year should bring better times ahead for everyone.
Ms Jose showcased her decorations for Christmas. There were hangings, handmade stuffed toys, Santa, elves, snowmen, a gingerbread man, fairies etc.
Our student, Aadhira Satapathy then sang aloud, “Dashing through the snow...” and “ You better watch out.” Our students shared Christmas craft made during the online classes through flipgrid. The Argentinian educator explained the meaning of Christmas with a prayer.
Ms Maria also shared some Christmas traditions followed in Argentina in a PPT.
Some foot-tapping tunes were played to conclude the session, filled the hearts of children with cheer and joy. The students thoroughly enjoyed the session and actively interacted with Ms Maria Jose.
For our young learners, it was a precious introduction to a distant culture packed with new learning and enjoyment.a
