Pre school excursion to the National Science Centre

The National Science Centre is situated at Pragati Maidan and consists of an enormous assortment of exciting science models, which can be operated by even children who visit. An excursion to the Centre is therefore one of the easiest ways to arouse curiosity about the way things work in the minds of children. Therefore, on 25 September, 2014, we took Pre-school on an excursion to the Centre.
At the venue, we proceeded to the entrance and were guided in. The children were expectedly restive to explore the galleries! The first floor has some biology- based and some chemistry- based models. There is a model of the human brain showing how it transmits messages to and from the different parts of the body [gallery columns="2" link="none" ids="2864,2863"] The secondfloor has models based on physics. This floor attracted the children the most, as they got a hands'-on chance at several stations! The foot piano, the ' mischievous' and sound-based experiments had the children extremely animated and involved . They were also delighted to see the magic hot and coldbars. Soon they felt gap familiar and even tried to attract the dinosaurs' attention! [gallery columns="2" link="none" ids="2867,2868"]
The excursion was a happy learning experience and a step by our tiny tots into the world of science. Compiled by : Ms. Shikha Yadav, Class teacher: Magpie.
