Pre primary Annual Exhibition 2024

“If you change the way you look at things,

the things you look at change.”

                                                                                                            Wayne Dyer

The Indian School – Second Shift held its Pre primary Annual Exhibition on 10th August 2024. The exhibition was an elaborate and meticulous display of research, application and discovery by the young students. The students worked enthusiastically with their teachers to learn, innovate and demonstrate their projects and  models, showcasing hidden talent and calibre. This year, as customary, the exhibition focused on a theme that runs spirally and synergies with the entire school community.

The carefully chosen theme offers a curriculum that balances excellence in learning, alongside the holistic development of each child. Teachers across various disciplines, whether math, sports, art, dance or language, creatively weave the School theme into the curriculum during the year. The theme for this year, “I am the Change I Want to See”, encapsulates the powerful idea that personal transformation is the driving force behind a luminous and more compassionate world.

An exciting offering of events was on display by the tiny tots innovatively sharing their feelings and experiences. The passionate children of Pre Primary presented a skit titled “The Little Town of Change” reflecting that even small actions can lead to significant transformations in our communities.

Trees play an especially important role in enhancing our quality of life. The planting of trees and the care and their preservation can go a long way. The Pre school and Pre Primary children sang a melodious Hindi song, “Ped Lagao”, to motivate people at large to care about our environment. This was followed by a rhyme, “ Red coloured apples”. The rhyme was a lesson on health and staying fit.

The Pre school children presented a “Show and Tell” activity, enhancing their verbal competencies, self-awareness and confidence. It was an attempt to create solidarity wherein children dressed up as the national symbols like the Lotus, the Tiger, the Banyan Tree, Peacock and Mango as role play on the eve if Independance Day.

Nature is the ultimate source of our living. The beauty lies in its freshness, openness, soft breeze and the warm sun. It is made of everything we see around us, the trees, flowers, foliage, animals, sky, mountains, forests and more.

The Pre primary children recited a  rhyme, “Up In The Blue Sky,” transporting us into the lap of nature. Golden is the sky when the sun is rising, silver is the ocean when the moon is shining and pleasant is the day when children are smiling and sharing with us. The little students got an opportunity to express their affection and gratitude towards nature. The audiences were mesmerised by the performances and the students were applauded by all.

The preparation of the exhibits was an exhilarating experience for the children. The students had creatively crafted working models. We were exposed to a world of technology, new habits and sustainability.

Headmistress, Ms Sanjeeta Roy, concluded the programme by thanking the parents for being  patient and cooperative. It was a successful endeavour to walk hand in hand with our teachers to achieve the maximum learning output.

At the International Online Literary Conclave organised by Invictus International School, Harshvardhan Singh of Pre Primary Dove and Shivin Rawat of Pre School Sparrow had received the Critic's Choice Award for Inlet- Role Play-Dress up and Speak as any National or Global Personality. Ms Roy handed over the certificates and medals to the children on the occasion.

The exhibition was a thumping success as it attracted a large number of visitors. Indeed, the annual exhibition was a fitting offering to our young students and an engaging learning experience.

Ms Sanjeeta Roy appreciated all the teachers and children for their hard work and dedication. It was an unforgettable experience and a takeaway of some wonderful memories.
