Observing Republic Day in Pre-School and Pre-Primary
Republic Day is observed every year on 26th January to honour the Constitution of India as it came into force on this day in 1950. India celebrated its 68th Republic Day this year.
On the occasion, a special assembly was organised by Pre-School Mynnah and Pre-Primary Koel on 24th January 2017. Students stepped forward by turn, to convey the message of Republic Day and to articulate the significance of the national symbols of India. A few students were dressed as our great freedom fighters, Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Rani Laxmi Bai and Mahatma Gandhi, and they spoke a few lines to recreate the persona they were portraying.

A group of students dressed in white khadi kurtas heartily sang the patriotic song with actions Jaan rahe ya naa rahe apni, par desh ki shaan bachani hai. This was followed by the student choir singing Ek do ek do badhte kadam and Hum honge kamyab.
All the teachers joined in the singing as every member of the audience, tapped and clapped to the inspiring lyrics and beats.
Finally, everyone stood solemnly for the national anthem.
