Mobile Planetarium for Primary classes

“Without space, there is no time.” - Dejan Stojanovic

The Indian School-Second Shift organised a mobile planetarium show for the students of the Primary classes on 23 February 2023 in the School auditorium. 130 participants from the primary department attended the workshop.

The session commenced with a briefing about our great galaxy and its planets. After the ice-breaking session, students watched a video about the universe, the formation of the stars and galaxies, our solar system and Earth. The students were enthralled to see the alluring show. Next, the students learnt about the Milky Way and watched some major constellations appear in the night sky. The students were fascinated to see the starlit night sky and clapped in excitement. The show also enlightened the young students about the planets in our solar system and their moons.

The students were exhilarated to see the magical presentation of the facts they had learnt about. The session concluded with a Q&A session. The students who volunteered correct answers were awarded. The session was informative, constructive and interactive.
