Janamashtami Celebrations in Pre School to class 2
On 13th August 2025, the students of Pre School to class 2 celebrated the festival of Janamashtami in enthusiasm, in particular revering the values of joy, duty and friendship associated with Lord Krishna.
A colourful and vibrant assembly was held in the School auditorium, which was beautifully decorated to depict the joyous occasion.
The celebration began with a soulful song by the Pre School students, who joyfully sang “Chhoti Chhoti Gaiyaan Chote Chote Gwaal” and “Achutam Keshavam Krishna Damodaram”. Their charming portrayal of Krishna-Radha, and Krisha-Sudama, dressed in traditional costumes and accessories, won hearts.
The Pre Primary students then took the stage with a graceful yet energetic dance performance. Dressed as Radha and Krishna, they mesmerised the audience with their expressions and rhythmic movements, perfectly capturing the essence of the festival.
Adding to the grandeur of the event, classes 1 and 2 presented an engaging role play on the legend of Krishna in Hindi, while class 2 presented the role play in English. Their expressive acting and captivating narration was captivating.
The programme creatively combined music, dance, and drama, providing the young learners with an opportunity to showcase their talents while deepening their understanding of the cultural and spiritual significance of the festival. The auditorium echoed with applause, devotion, and joy as the children concluded the celebration with smiles and pride.
It was truly a memorable and heartwarming experience for everyone present.
