The Indian School – Second Shift proudly conducted its Investiture Ceremony for the academic session 2026 on 2nd May 2026 in great enthusiasm and dignity. The ceremony marked a significant occasion on the School calendar, celebrating leadership, responsibility, and commitment among students.
The event commenced on a gracious note with the hosts extending a warm welcome to the distinguished gathering, including School Manager Ms Neena Maini, Headmistress Ms Sanjeeta Roy, esteemed PTA members, valued parents, and our dear students.
The programme began with a serene and soulful flute presentation of Raga Hansdhwani by Shubh (Class 10A), setting a positive and auspicious tone for the ceremony. This was followed by a melodious welcome song, “Aaj Anand Barsa Hai,” presented by the School choir, which captivated the audience. Adding vibrancy to the event, a mesmerising fusion dance performance combining Kathak and Bharatanatyam beautifully showcased the richness of Indian classical traditions.
The ceremony progressed with the formal introduction of the Student Council 2026–27, highlighting the School’s commitment to nurturing leadership qualities among students. The much-awaited moment arrived with the announcement of the newly elected council members:
Head Boy: Divyanshu Joshi (Class 10)
Head Girl: Anabia Siddiqui (Class 10)
Sports Captain: Momin Ali Wani (Class 10)
Vice Sports Captain: Jairus John (Class 9)
Citizenship Captain: Kashvini (Class 10)
Co-curricular Captain: Sukaina Fatma (Class 10)
Editorial Captain: Shubh Kumar (Class 10)
Life Skills and Wellness Captain: Tanya Shikha (Class 10)
Discipline Captain: Keshav (Class 10)
The badges were ceremoniously conferred upon the council members by Ms Neena Maini and Ms Sanjeeta Roy symbolising the trust and responsibility vested in them.
Further, the House Captains and Prefects were honoured by the PTA representatives. The House Captains are:
Jupiter House: Aditya Sunil (Class 10)
Venus House: Karan Rawal (Class 10)
Mars House: Jeevika Sharma (Class 9)
Saturn House: Rudra Mishra (Class 10)
The House Prefects are:
Jupiter House: Naayla Jamal (Class 5)
Venus House: Avika Maurya (Class 5)
Mars House: Madeeha Tanveer (Class 5)
Saturn House: Faiza Rifaqat (Class 5)
The solemn Oath Ceremony followed, led by the Head Girl, where the council members pledged to uphold the values, discipline, and ethos of the School with sincerity and dedication.
The gathering was then addressed by Headmistress, Ms Sanjeeta Roy, who shared insightful thoughts on leadership and elaborated on the school’s emblem, mission, and vision. She congratulated the newly elected council members and encouraged them to lead with integrity and commitment.
The ceremony concluded with the student leaders presenting their visions and commitments, followed by the school song, instilling a sense of unity and pride among all present.
The Investiture Ceremony was a resounding success, leaving everyone inspired and motivated. It reaffirmed the school’s dedication to fostering leadership qualities and empowering students to become responsible citizens and future leaders.
