International Day of Happiness celebrated in the Pre primary classes.

“Don’t wait around for other people to be happy for you. Any happiness you get you’ve got to make yourself.”

                                                                                                             -Alice Walker

The International Day of Happiness is celebrated throughout the world on the 20th of March every year. It was established by the United Nations General Assembly.

This special occasion was observed by the young Foundationers of Pre-School and Pre-Primary to recognise the importance of happiness in our lives all over the world. In these difficult times, happiness can help boost our immune systems too. The world is facing unprecedented challenges and our well being matters more than ever.

The teachers conducted a poster making activity where the children drew pictures of things and places which make them happy. Children also shared their ‘happy memories’ with their teachers.

The Pre-Primary students crafted smileys and sang the song “When you’re happy and you know it...” The children were also asked to laugh out loud and make their friends smile with their comic faces! Parents and teachers both joined hands to make the children happy by narrating funny stories and jokes.

Overall, it was a fun filled session, spreading the message that we must all learn to be happy and kind this year.
