Interaction with School chairman on the life and times of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose
On 7 September 2020, students of classes 7 and 8 had the opportunity to attend a (virtual) talk by our honourable School chairman, Mr. Prafull Goradia. The subject of the talk was one of India’s greatest heroes of the freedom struggle, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose.
Chairman Sir commenced the session sharing some iconic pictures and a short video introducing Netaji with scenes from his life. Mr. Goradia described the vision of the great leader and how his beliefs were different from the other leaders of the time.
The students listened in rapt attention to the story of Netaji's astounding escape to Germany in disguise and how he built the Azad Hind Fauj for the goal closest to his heart, namely freedom for his motherland.
Netaji's immortal slogan, ‘Give me blood and I will give you freedom’ became more meaningful for the students as Goradia sir took them down memory lane, narrating occasions from his own childhood in the years when the struggle for freedom fortified.
The students were highly engrossed in listening to every word of what Sir spoke and ask questions of him at the end of the talk.
