Inter-school Painting Festival on global peace and sustainability

The Indian School-Second Shift participated in an Inter-school Painting Festival organised by Springdales School, Pusa Road, on 3 February 2023 . Many schools of Delhi- NCR participated in the event. A team of 3 students from our School also showcased their talent and creativity at the competition.
Our students participated in the following categories:
Age 9-11 years
1. Afeefa Ansari -6 A
Age 12-14 years
1. Ansh Maurya -7 A
2. Ali Fateh Siddiqui - 7 B
Students could choose from a variety of topics given to them such as 'Technology for Peace', 'Give Peace a Chance', 'Let Peace Prevail', 'A World without Boundaries', 'My Dream- A Sustainable Planet', 'International Peace and Security', 'The World is a Family', 'A Monument to Peace' and 'My Vision of Peace'.
The event aimed at giving an opportunity to the artistic skills of students, and nurturing these in the spirit of a global citizen. The students felt confident when they presented their ideas in colourful strokes.
The event concluded with the judges posing questions to the young artists, about their creativity. They were very impressed with the sensitive answers given by the students with respect to their paintings.
The event was a great opportunity for the students and they got a good exposure. This healthy competition was successful in pushing the students to organize their thoughts on world peace, harmony, global integrity and sustainable development and reflect them on canvas.
