Inter-House Quiz on the SDGs

An exhilarating Inter-House Quiz on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) was conducted in the auditorium on 26.07.23. The competition aimed to promote awareness and better understanding of global issues related to the SDGs, among the students. Five rounds were held testing knowledge on various subjects. There was also an audience round that engaged everyone in its excitement! After an intense battle of wits, Jupiter House emerged the undisputed winner.



In the first round, the participants were quizzed on the different SDGs, their objectives, and related global challenges. Students of all the houses displayed commendable knowledge, showcasing their understanding of the SDGs and their significance in addressing global issues.
The second round centred around the mathematical aspects of the SDGs. Participants solved complex equations and statistical problems related to sustainable development targets and indicators. This round tested their mathematical prowess, analytical skills, and the ability to apply them in real-world situations.
The third round focused on SDG-themed literature. Questions challenged the students to identify famous literary works and authors who have championed the cause of sustainable development and social change. It was an engaging round that showcased the importance of literature in promoting awareness and advocating for the SDGs.
The fourth round delved into the scientific aspects of the SDGs, emphasising their connection with environmental issues and technological advancements. Students demonstrated their scientific acumen, answering questions related to renewable energy, biodiversity conservation, and the role of science in achieving the SDGs.
The fifth and final round was the audience round, where randomly selected attendees were given the opportunity to participate. This round aimed to involve the audience and spread knowledge about the SDGs beyond the participants. The questions ranged from general awareness to specific SDG-related topics, making it an enjoyable and inclusive segment of the
The inter-house quiz competition on SDGs proved to be an intellectually stimulating event that not only challenged the students' academic abilities but also fostered a deeper understanding of global challenges and the significance of the Sustainable Development Goals. The event achieved its objective of promoting awareness and fostering a sense of responsibility among the participants towards building a sustainable and equitable world.
