Independence Day celebrations in Pre Primary classes

'Freedom in mind, Faith in the words, Pride in our souls’

The 75th Independence Day was celebrated by the students of Pre School and Pre Primary in great zeal and fervour. The students showcased their patriotism in the virtual assembly held on Friday, 13 August 2021.  They recalled the great freedom fighters of our country. The assembly also aimed at letting the young ones learn value of freedom that we attained, after the huge sacrifices that were made. They were shown a presentation sharing the story of how our country gained Independence.

The students of Pre Primary dressed up as our  great beacons of the freedom like Mahatma Gandhi, Tantia Tope, Rani Laxmibai etc and even spoke a few lines about the personality they represented. This provided an opportunity to the young students to demonstrate their skills of role play.

A melodious presentation of the songs “Nanha Munna Rahi ” and “We shall overcome “ by Vansh and Parikshit of Pre Primary. Later the Pre-School children danced to a medley of patriotic songs. The assembly ended with the national anthem sung by Shankhayanii. Tri-colour paper lanterns were made by the children in the craft class. They were also explained the meaning and relevance of the three colours in the Indian flag.

It was a great day of celebration, where the tiny Foundationers were instilled with patriotism and the value of the great gift of freedom that our great freedom fighters fought valiantly for.
