In the run up to the Independence day celebrations, The Indian School-Second Shift organised its first inter- house quiz competition Incredible India on 13th August, 2014. The quiz was aimed at introducing the students to Indias rich culture and heritage besides buiding self- confidence in them. And they did not disappoint!
The quiz revolved around the theme of the year, namely the West Coast of India. Four teams representing the four houses took part in the event and included Pre- Primary, Classes I and II.
[gallery columns="2" ids="2608,2609,2610,2611"]There were five rounds in the quiz, of which the fifth was a visual round. Questions from the first three rounds i.e. Know Your Country were based on the states lining the west coast of India. The fourth and the fifth rounds were related to Independence Day.
All the houses were well prepared for the quiz and the little contestants confidently took position. The audience was very animated and participated enthusiastically. It was a very close fight till the last round. Finally it was Venus that won the quiz with a bonus point!
The representatives of the winning house Venus were awarded certificates during the Independence Day assembly.
