GANIT WEEK- 21 to 25 January, 2019
Mathematics is the knowledge with which God has written the Universe- Galileo
The importance of mathematics has never been greater than now and will remain so for the foreseeable future. The observance of GANIT ( Growing Aptitude in Numerical and Innovations Training) Week was held from 21 to 25 January 2019 and carried a distinct flavour. The students of classes 1 to 4 came together showcasing the diverse activities and competitions in numeracy, especially designed for their level.
The following interesting activities were undertaken by students, displaying spirited enthusiasm, absorbing information and enjoying the stimulating exercises of the mind.

CLASS 1: Addition using buckets, math facts game, sum bingo and sidewalk chalk.
CLASS 2: Figure-me-out game ( 2-D shape riddles ), shapes activity and Build your Story.
CLASS 3: Bank the points, shapes puzzle, monuments- line of symmetry and design your own Math game and puzzle.
CLASS 4: Multiply the score, Magic maze, Design your own Math Game/puzzles and Break the Code Activity.
The week culminated with MATH MAGIC, an Inter- House Math Quiz of high standard and eliciting an enthusiastic response from the participants and the audience alike! This was a non-routine way of getting learners involved in math activities. All the rounds were keenly contested. Some questions were posed to the audience which they answered enthusiastically.
The competition among the teams was very tough but at the end, the most exciting, thrilling and evenly contested battle was won by Saturn House. The Saturn House ( Naitik Kashyap, Amogh Rao, Veer Nagar and Hrishita Jangra) bagged the 1st position with an outstanding performance. The 2nd position was held by Venus House ( Saksham Shiv Singh, Karan Rawal, Achintya Vishnu and Riddhi Solanki).
Math Magic helped students to assess their mathematical skills, proficiency and aptitude. The audience was very supportive of their respective teams and in great passion. Exhilaration level reached its highest level during the Buzzer Round. It was an enriching, interesting and fun filled activity.
Overall, Ganit Week facilitated students to develop an inclination for math through learning in fun. Students welcomed each activity with great interest and enthusiasm. The entire week was packed with educational, motivating and fun filled activities.
