Ganesh Chaturthi in the Pre primary classes
Ganesh Chaturthi is a festival observed by Hindus to celebrate the birth of the deity Lord Ganesh (son of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati), believed to be the harbinger of good fortune.
On 25th August 2017, the Pre-school and Pre-primary classes celebrated the festival of Ganpati with gusto.
The assembly commenced with a soulful invocation, the Ganesh Vandana sung by the students and their teachers. Our little devotees, then, by turn spoke about the significance of the festival which was given the form of a community celebration by Lokmanya Tilak during the struggle for independence.

A song and a skit on the legend of Lord Ganpati were delightfully presented. Finally an energetic group dance to the vigorous beat of the drum and clanging of bells, lifted the fervour of the festivities as per the tradition! The corridors joyously resounded to shouts of Ganpati Bappa Morya!
Students also sculpted eco-friendly clay images of Lord Ganesh.
