Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations
Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated as a symbol of wisdom, prosperity and good fortune.
At The Indian School-Second Shift, Ganesh Chaturthi was celebrated on 21st August, 2020 by the students of Pre School and Pre Primary. The talented students worked on crafting eco-friendly Ganesha idols using flour, turmeric and roli as a classroom activity. The children later symbolically immersed the Ganesha idol in a tulsi plant as a mark of their care for the environment.
The legendary story of Lord Ganesha was narrated in the class. A short video clip of Bal-Ganesha was shown to the children, followed by an interactive session in which the children shared what wish each of them would like granted by Lord Ganesha!
The children were in a festive mood and joyfully imbibed eco-friendly ways of celebrating the popular festival.
