Fathers Day celebrations in Pre primary

Your arms were always open when I needed a hug; your heart understood when I needed a friend; your gentle eyes were stern when I needed a lesson; your strength gave me wings so that I could learn to fly.

A fathers selfless love is pivotal in nurturing the child and there could not be a more universal celebration than the one that celebrates the accomplishments and efforts of Father. Celebrating this precious bond, the Pre-School and Pre-Primary classes of The Indian School-Second Shift celebrated Fathers Day on 20th May, 2017.

The auditorium thronged with dads excited to watch their children perform. The tiny tots warmly welcomed their dads with Hum Nuune Munne Bache followed by medley of songs Mere Uncle Michael, Mere Papa Office Chale, etc.

Head teacher, Ms. Susan Thomas offered a heart warming welcome, congratulating all the dads on their special day. To make the celebration even more special, a game was specially set up for the fathers of Pre school, where a song was played from the fathers' generation. The dads had volunteer a guess to identify it and then sing along aloud! Before the game, the instructions were explained. The enthusiasm was electric as the contestants made a keen pitch! Every time a piece was played, voices rang to offer the answer. Winners took the gifts.

The fun filled ambience again transfused with melody, by our little ones, who gleefully sang my papa plays a ball with me, I have a special friend, I love my daddy, Happy Fathers Day. The smiles only stretched wide as sentiments surfed!

Next on the schedule was an interesting game Fun with Shapes specially planned for the Pre-Primary dads where they were invited on stage after a draw of lots with their children, to participate in a fun-filled activity. Before the game, the instructions were explained. The contestants were judged on the basis of creativity and their teamwork skills. Here too our winners took the gifts.

Next was a dance choreographed to the popular songs Papa kehte hain ., Daddy cool, Sunshine in my pocket. The children looked utterly endearing as they jiggled and wiggled to the peppy music! After a vote of thanks, our dear enjoyed refreshments with their young ones.
