Fathers Day celebration in Pre primary

“A dad is someone who wants to catch you before you fall but instead picks you up, brushes you off, and lets you try again. A dad is someone who wants to keep you from making mistakes but instead let’s you find your own way, even though his heart breaks in silence when you get hurt. A dad is someone who holds you when you cry, scolds you when you break the rules, shines with pride when you succeed, and has faith in you even when you fail.”

The Indian School-Second Shift observed Father’s Day honouring fathers and celebrating fatherhood, the paternal bond and the influence of fathers in life.

Our School nurtures the importance of family ties in our children as a part of the Sanskara Syllabus, integral with the ethos of the School. We believe ‘Pitru Devo Bhava’, which emphasises unconditional reverence for one's father and offering him respect.

Upholding this belief, there were activities designed thoughtfully for the youngest members of the School in order to inculcate this important value for character building.

The tiny tots of Pre school spoke a few lines on ‘My Father’, sang melodious songs dedicated to their fathers in a group and listened to a folk tale, highlighting the efforts made by our dads. They also handmade beautiful greeting cards on the occasion.

The young ones of Pre primary crafted creative shirt-shaped cards and decorated mugs using finger painting, as gifts for their fathers. They also shared in class how their fathers help them everyday.

The children not only got an opportunity to express their gratitude and affection towards their fathers, but also worked with their creative skills.
