Classes 9 and 10 visit the National Science Centre

The National Science Centre (NSC) at Delhi is a popular science museum and exhibition centre. It aims to promote scientific awareness and understanding among the general public, especially students. It often hosts educational programmes, workshops, and events to engage visitors in scientific learning explorations.

The students of classes 9 and 10 of The Indian School – Second Shift got the opportunity to visit NSC to explore, learn and discover a new perspective of learning science and innovative technology.

The centre has exhibition galleries including science gallery, human biology gallery, emerging technologies gallery, prehistoric life gallery, artificial science park, auditorium and science shows, and science workshops and programs. All these galleries are designed to be interactive and informative, making science engaging and accessible for all. Students participated in hands-on-activities that showcased scientific principles live in action. Students of class 10 also participated in a special programme at the centre to learn a few new innovative tricks of understanding science.

The human biology gallery focused on the human body and explored aspects of biology, including anatomy and health. It exhibited organs, the skeletal system, the circulatory system and other human body functions.

The emerging technologies gallery showcased latest technological advancements and innovations in various fields, such as robotics, artificial intelligence, space exploration and many more.

In the prehistoric life gallery, replicas and models of dinosaurs and other prehistoric creatures were displayed to offer insights into the ancient history of life on earth. The students also enjoyed 3D educational films, which are shown at regular time intervals to entertain and educate visitors in an auditorium.

Thus, the visit to National Science Centre proved to be a memorable and enriching experience for the students of classes 9 and 10. It not only deepened their understanding of scientific concepts but also instilled a love for exploration and a desire to pursue knowledge further. The hands-on approach, interactive exhibits, and engaging demonstrations at the NSC left a lasting impression on the young minds, and encouraged them to embrace science and its wonders.
