Classes 68 visit the Partition Museum
With the aim of enhancing historical understanding beyond classroom learning, The Indian School-Second Shift organised an educational excursion to the Partition Museum at Dara Shikoh Library, Ambedkar University, for the students of classes 6 to 8 on 17th October 2025. The visit was designed to help students learn about one of the most significant events in India’s history — the Partition of 1947.
The students were accompanied by their teachers, who guided them through the visit, explaining the exhibits and sharing insightful details about the experiences of people during the Partition. The museum showcased a wide range of displays, including photographs, letters, personal belongings, and audio-visual presentations that vividly depicted the pain, struggle, and hope of those times.
The visit offered students a deeper understanding of the human emotions and historical significance of.the Partition. The teachers ensured that the students engaged actively, asking questions and discussing the exhibits to enhance their learning experience.
Towards the end of the visit, an engaging quiz was organised based on the information displayed in the museum. The students enthusiastically participated, and those who answered correctly were awarded special prizes, adding excitement and motivation to the learning experience.
The excursion to the Partition Museum proved to be an enriching and educational experience. It not only broadened the students’ historical knowledge but also instilled in them a sense of empathy and appreciation for India’s journey of independence and unity.
