Class 4B interacts with peers in Vietnam school
The students of class IV-B were excited to reach out to their counterparts of class 7 in Hanoi, Vietnam on 21st August 2019. The eagerness was clearly evident in the eyes of the young learners as the Skype session commenced.
The class was interacting with Ms. Hong Este, an English educator in Vietnam and her class VII students. During the session the students chatted about their hobbies and about festivals celebrated in India and Vietnam. The session began with an introduction of Vietnam by Ms. Hong followed by a talk about India. The vivacious young students then proudly shared information about their hobbies. They held up pictures of the various national symbols of India, food, favourite games and festivals celebrated in India.
The Foundationers sang the national anthem and explained how various festivals are celebrated in India. It was now the Vietnamese students’ turn- they shared information about their hobbies Ms. Hong and her students excitedly explained some of the festivals celebrated in Vietnam. The students on both sides were engaged throughout the session. To add to their excitement, Ms. Hong and her students sang a Vietnamese song.
It was truly an educative experience for the students of class IV. The interactive and informative session exposed them them to the culture and way of life in Vietnam. It was particularly interesting to observe the extent of eagerness amongst our students to know more about children like themselves in Vietnam.
