Class 3C celebrates Christmas with Argentinian peers
The students of class 3C of The Indian School – Second Shift along with their class teacher Ms Neelima Oberoi collaborated with Ms Maria Jose Giavedoni from Escuela Tecnica, Capitan Bermudez, Argentina on December 21, 2021. The session was a part of the Xmas Tour organised for the students by their teachers.
It was a delight to see the excitement amongst our students to learn about how Christmas is celebrated in Argentina. Our students sang carols and showcased the craft and cards made by them for Christmas. The peer educator in Argentina showed them the various decorations she had prepared for the festival. She also educated the children about how Christmas is celebrated in their country through a Power Point presentation.
Our students in turn described how the festival is celebrated in India. The students were excited to show their Christmas tree decorations!
The session helped greatly in developing listening and observation skills amongst the students. It was also an introduction to a new culture and the students lapped up the opportunity!
It was a good experience for our children where they learnt about the culture of a different country on a virtual platform.
