Class 3B meets peers at an Israeli school
On 14 December 2021, the students of class IIIB along with their class teacher Ms. Neeti Gupta had an interactive virtual session with the students of the Yaakov Cohen Elementary School and their teachers, Ms Michal Aizik and Ms Sivan in the city of Kiryat Ono in Israel.
The students of both schools were elated as they greeted each other. Our students welcomed their new international friends by holding up handmade welcome cards for them. They then played Mystery Skype to guess the country to which their peers belong. The other side did the same. It greatly familiarised both sides about each other. Our children got to know about Israel’s national bird, the Hoopoe, its capital city, Jerusalem, falafel, hummus and so on. Likewise, our students showed pictures of the peacock, the dosa, samosa and others.
The students on both the sides asked questions from each other to know more about the culture and traditions of both the countries. They enjoyed interacting with each other. To introduce the Israeli class with Hindi, Diyaan Mehta sang a Hindi prayer.
The virtual classroom was filled with joy and cheer with the song ‘Believer’ sung by Drash Trehan. Later on, children enthusiastically participated in a quiz on animals.
At the end of the session, both sides reluctantly bid adieu with a promise to meet again soon.
