Class 1 engages with peers in Vietnam

On 22 July 2020, the students of class I had an interactive online session with Ms. Nguyen Thanh and her students of the Kim Dong School in Vietnam. The interaction intended to introduce the children to their peers in a distant culture.

The session began with an introduction of India by class teacher, Ms. Shikha Yadav, who shared pictures of the Indian flag, our national flower, game, animal, bird and facts about India's famous monuments and architectural wonders. This was followed by a short talk on COVID- 19 by the young Foundationers. The two sides shared their lockdown experiences and asked questions on the precautionary measures that are being taken in this pandemic situation.

Our young guests from Vietnam shared some interesting information about Ha Long Bay in a pictorial presentation, the flag of their country, food, language and famous places.

The students were thrilled to be a part of this unique and fun-filled session. The animated exchange seemed to erase the miles that separated the two sets of children sitting across the screen!
