Children's Day celebrations
"The children of today will make the India of tomorrow. The way we bring them up will determine the future of the country." Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru
The Indian School-Second Shift celebrated Children’s Day virtually on 15 November 2021. It marked the birth anniversary of our country’s first prime minister, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. Panditji fondly called ‘Chacha Nehru’ believed in and loved children of all ages.
The teachers of The Indian School-Second Shift organised a level-wise programme to express their affection for their student on 15 November 2021. The programme was planned carefully and was dedicated to our young Foundationers.
The programme began with a creative dance to the Ganesh Vandana by Ms Richa Jain. It was incredibly soothing and a treat to the eyes. A fun play enacted by Pre Primary teachers stole the show. It portrayed the challenges faced by the teachers in the online class and the playful tantrums of our dear students! The students enjoyed it thoroughly as they happily related to it.
A medley of popular songs presented by Ms Anupriya, Ms Tincy and Ms Neeti delighted the students. The spirit of the celebration was kept high by playing the game ‘Guess Who' wherein the students were overjoyed to spot their classmates and friends in old photos taken at School. Another game ‘Guess the Tune' had the students tap and clap with joy as they enjoyed the familiar tracks.
The celebration concluded with words of motivation by Acting Principal Ms Sukhmeen Cheema. She was very appreciative of all the students and said they each hold a special place in our hearts and lives. There was excitement in the air and each young Foundationer carried back a wide smile.
