ANNUAL ART EXHIBITION 2025
The Indian School- Second Shift hosted its annual art exhibition on the theme “Bharat Gatha” on 29 November 2025, celebrating the rich and diverse heritage of Indian art and seasons.
The School auditorium transformed into a vibrant gallery of colour and creativity, drawing an enthusiastic turnout of parents eager to admire the students’ artistic brilliance.
Each class was assigned a distinct season or traditional art form, displayed beautifully on the display boards. Our Pre school artists depicted the monsoon with raindrops and lush greenery, while the Pre Primary students explored the winter season using cool tones. Class 1 celebrated the vibrancy of summer and Class 2 illustrated the freshness of spring.
From Class 3 onwards, the students showcased India’s traditional art forms. Class 3 presented Warli art, Class 4 displayed Kalamkari, Class 5 portrayed Pichhwai, Class 6 showcased Madhubani, Class 7 illustrated Gond art, and Class 8 presented the expressive Kalighat style.
Each class also created activity corners or live-painting spaces, making the exhibition interactive and immersive.
Students confidently explained the origins, themes, colours, and cultural significance of their artwork, supported by an informative introduction that enriched visitors' understanding.
Our parents expressed heartfelt appreciation not only for the students’ creativity and dedication but also for the teachers’ guidance and efforts in preparing such an engaging showcase. Their admiration highlighted the collaborative spirit between teachers and learners that made the exhibition truly memorable.
Overall, “Bharat Gatha” was a resounding success, beautifully blending education, culture, and creativity while instilling pride in India’s artistic traditions. It celebrated the artistic talents of students across different age groups while instilling a deeper respect for India’s diverse artistic traditions.
