All for a cause @ the Cine Green launch
On 7th May 2019, The Indian School-Second Shift participated in Cine Green, an initiative focussed on Environmental Stewardship and Leadership, launched by American Express at PVR Plaza Cinema, Connaught Place. It is a year long school education programme in collaboration with PVR Nest, Samhita and Swechha. It will include eco-trails, development of urban gardens, film-making, etc. to engage children in current social-environmental issues.

Around 300 young students and educators from over 15 schools, activists, NGOs and other institutions took part in the launch. The mega event was packed with some extremely powerful performances led by students from The Indian School-Second Shift. with a crisp and foot tapping Pollution Rap performed by the students of Class IV of The Indian School-Second Shift. The students urged everybody to stop using plastic as it is a threat to all the living beings. The audience applauded this powerful performance by our little stars.
The event also featured a panel discussion titled 'Future/s at Stake' consisting of prominent voices in the field on environmental education including Madhu Bhatnagar, Head of environment and value education for The Shriram School, Neha Sinha from BNHS, Manisha from NineisMine, moderated by Vimlendu Jha from Swechha.
