Adventure Camp for Pre School to Class 3.

On 18th March 2017, an adventure camp was held in the School premises for classes Nursery to III. The camp aimed at giving the children not merely an exposure to the world of outdoor sport but also a chance at strengthening their physical skills. To begin with anxiety and anticipation was writ large on the faces of some of the young ones! But it soon converted to delight! Our School grounds and the skating rink were used for the activities. This helped us schedule the events in a comfortable manner. The children were all geared up and eager to embark on the tasks. All were abuzz with a lot of enthusiasm right from the time they left the classrooms until they reached the field. The obstacles erected for the activities were the Burma bridge, Balancing beam, Parallel rope, Monkey crawl etc. The kids let go of their fear of heights with activities like the Zip line and Ladder climbing. Their expressions of Yes, I did it! were invaluable! [gallery link="none" ids="10106,10107,10108"] After completing the course of tasks, the children sat down for lunch. They were exhausted but dug in heartily into their snack boxes as they continued to chatter excitedly all they had achieved. The different activities which the children enjoyed were the Commando net, the Commando crawl, Burma bridge, artificial river crossing, Trampoline, Parallel rope, Ladder climbing, the Mogli climb, Ladder walk, Balance beam, Hanging tyres, and artificial wall climbing. The children were particularly delighted when they completed each task. Every activity aimed at honing a different skill. The little ones managed to cross the Burma bridge quite confidently. There were two adults from the organising committee who took care of the groups of children that undertook the task. The activity that was enjoyed the most was the artificial river crossing. All in all a smashing sporty day!
