A virtual Christmas celebration in the Pre primary classes

A special assembly was held for the Pre-Primary classes conducted a special assembly on 24 December, 2020 to bring in Christmas.

The assembly commenced with a welcome address and an introduction to to aspects of the festival and how it is celebrated, by the children themselves. Each one spoke clearly, confidently and enthusiastically. The young audience as the story of the birth of Lord Jesus was told.

  
The children then sang as a choir, some popular carols like, "Joy to the World", "Jingle Bells", "You Better Watch out" and "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" etc. Everybody got into the mood of Christmas and it’s gaiety.

Next followed a Christmas rhyme – "I’m a little gift ……." where the children play acted as gifts, toffees, stars and bells. They danced around the Christmas tree and their vibrant costumes filled the occasion with colour and merriment.The audience was attentive and watched carefully.

Last but not the least, a dance performance in which all the children participated drew the attention of the parents to tap along, making for a heady Christmas mood! The much loved and timeless values of Christmas, namely sharing, compassion, peace and love for all mankind resonated through the assembly.

Creative craft work of the symbols of christmas by the children, comprising, the snowman, the reindeer, christmas tree and stocking, was showcased on screen, even as a group of children dressed as Santa made a glorious entry on their reindeer, drawing squeals of delight from the jubilant audience!
