Awareness Drive for Air Pollution across the classes

Sooner or later, we will have to recognise that the Earth has rights too! It has the right to be free of pollution. Mankind must know that human beings cannot live without Mother Earth but the planet can live without humans. Evo Morales

The greatest threat to our environment is the belief that someone else will save it. In this context, a drive was conducted at our School to raise awareness about air pollution. It reminded us that we need to take action righy now to protect our earth before it's too late.

Various activities were conducted as a part of Eco Club activities and the Bharat Ka Amrut Mahotsav, to celebrate 75 years of independence in this regard.

The students of Pre-Primary were told about the causes of air pollution and how it affects our environment. The teacher explained the meaning of air pollution along with its causes and its harmful effects through a story. They were shown a video depicting ways to reduce it. This was followed by poster making activity. The class discussed ways to curb the hazard and wrote slogans- “Less Air Pollution Healthy Life Solution".

The students of classes I-V participated in a series of activities that focussed on the topic. They took an artistic approach to raise awareness by making posters and doodles, capitulating the essence of imagination and free-thinking on a subject of societal concern.

In the same spirit, the children of class IV enthusiastically participated in a Spell Bee competition fostering new learning techniques. They enjoyed documentaries on the National Geographic channel to explore causes and action required of the problem. A student-centric approach was incorporated to enhance knowledge and the life skill of conserving nature.

Classroom discussions were held in classes 6-8. Here energetic students shared ways to control pollution by using renewable sources of energy and other preventive measures. They were very animated and volunteered many perspectives on controlling pollution.

All the children took a pledge to work for the cause  during online classes.
