Workshop on SDG 7

"Sustainable development is the pathway to the future we want for all……"

SDG 7 calls for ensuring universal access to affordable, reliable and sustainable energy. This includes improving energy efficiency, increasing the share of renewables, and further diversifying the energy mix while ensuring affordability of energy for citizens. Keeping this thought in mind, a workshop on SDG 7 was organised on 19 July 2023 for classes 9 and 10. It was taken by Ms Neeti Gupta, under the aegis of the Citizenship Programme.

Videos explaining the SDG 7 and the steps taken to achieve it were shown to the students. It made them aware of horrific living conditions where people survive without a basic amenity, vis.,  electricity. It was discussed how this  affects their day-to-day lives as well as health.

The workshop concluded with students expressing their views on the topic. They also added the small steps that can be taken by all to achieve the goal of sustainable development.
